This private website is for descendents of Charlie and Bridie O’Connor, late of Brefni, Tralee, County Kerry and their three children: Shane, Del, and Dolores. It was originally created as a place to share Shane’s memories of growing up in Ballinamore, County Leitrim and beginning his career in the army. He had been writing, on and off, since he retired in 1996 and, fortunately, being the organised man that he was, the file containing his notes is comprehensive. It would be interesting to see the website become a more detailed memoir of the family, with contributions from descendents around the world.
